Why Minova?<\/strong><\/p>

Every coffee-growing region has its own character.<\/span><\/p>

Some are known for dramatic landscapes. Others for long-standing traditions or distinctive flavor profiles. What makes Minova memorable is the way coffee and community are so closely connected.<\/span><\/p>

Situated along the shores of Lake Kivu in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Minova is home to generations of coffee-growing families whose knowledge of the land has been shaped over decades. Here, coffee is part of daily life, woven into the rhythm of communities and the stories of the people who cultivate it.<\/span><\/p>

Turning Conversations into Action<\/strong><\/p>

Over recent months, conversations with farmers, local partners, and community members have highlighted the shared ambition to strengthen coffee production through knowledge, collaboration, and investment in people.<\/span><\/p>

Those conversations led to the creation of <\/span>Seeds of Resilience<\/b>, a new initiative that brings together nursery development, farmer training, and ongoing field support.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Building the Foundations for Growth<\/strong><\/p>

At the center of the project is the establishment of coffee nurseries and shade that will provide farmers with access to high-quality seedlings while creating spaces for learning and knowledge sharing. Alongside nursery development, farmers will participate in training activities focused on cultivation practices, farm management, soil health, and approaches that support long-term productivity.<\/span><\/p>

The initiative also creates opportunities for broader community participation. Young people will be involved in different aspects of nursery operations and field activities, as they continue to contribute their knowledge, experience, and leadership throughout the project.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Projects like this create opportunities to strengthen those connections while supporting the individuals whose work makes coffee possible.<\/span><\/p>

      Minova's story is still being written, and we are honored to become a small part of it.<\/span><\/p>
