Joy with impact

Here’s how your choice of coffee is part of providing incentives that benefit farmers individually and improve agricultural research and development.

coffee plants

One of our first projects together with the coffee farmers in Eastern Congo was providing 400 farmes with 20 thousand new coffee plants.

The next aim is to provide the 3909 coffee farmers that we work with currently, with 100 coffee plants each. That is 390 900 newcoffee plants, that will increas the yield of coffee berries with at least 469 080 kg per year. The potential with the right care and engagement is an increas of 1 446 330 kg per year.

Our contribution to sustainable development

With our circular business model, we want to contribute to a sustainable value chain that includes the social, economic and environmental perspective.

social

Through our work to open up the market for Congolese coffee, together we make it possible for Congolese coffee farmers to restore their professional pride, develop their plantations and offer employment opportunities. This in turn contributes to creating economic stability for the producers, it contributes to independence, security and better a better standard of living for the families.

economically

The social commitment, which we attach great importance to, contributes both short-term and long-term to a better economy for the families affected by our value chain and the communities in which they operate. Our commitment to sustainable agriculture also contributes to safer and higher incomes for producers – in especially in the long term. Something that also motivates young people in society to be active in agriculture.

environmentally

We want to strive for environmental sustainability at all levels, in our products and in our value chain. Through advice and financial resources, we engage with our producers and together create a more sustainable and climate-smart agriculture.

Agroforestry

Apart from providing new coffee plants, we are currently working on a project to increase and improve the transition into agroforestry. This will be done by further mixing up the plantations with other trees and plants that will create shade for the coffee plants (inhancing the quality of the coffee), increasing the biodiversity as well as absorbing CO₂.

One cup of coffee at a time, we are together restoring the farmers’ professional pride, developing their plantations, and creating more jobs in the countryside of Eastern Congo.

Let your office coffee make a difference for our fellow human beings.
