The area of Kasenga in Uvira, in eastern Congo, where the Rutasoka founders built a womens clinic, has given name to this organic dark-roasted coffee. Its musty profile fills the palate with strong flavours that leads to notes of red berries and dark chocolate.
Rutasoka coffee is gently roasted using the slow-roast method. Roasting brings out the unique and delicate flavors from the selected quality beans. Which gives a balanced taste and fantastic crema.
With your commitment and ours, together we will restore the professional pride of the producers in the Congo and develop their plantation while creating more jobs in the countryside. Rutasoka coffee is more than just coffee – it is the hope for a brighter future, for all of us.

The coffee producers in eastern Congo have long suffered from war and conflict, which has led to neglected plantations and risk-taking, to smuggle the raw coffee to neighboring Uganda, on the other side of Lake Edwad. But now, with increased stability in the area, producers have finally gotten their revenge. Through passionate commitment and hard work, coffee from the Congo has once again become a recognized feature on the international market. Since our start in 2017, we have proudly been part of this development. Together with you, as a customer, we can continue to build up the standard of living of the coffee producers and contribute to their life’s work.
