Every cup of Rutasoka coffee carries a story – a journey that begins long before the coffee reaches your cup. On the sun-kissed farms of East Africa, our coffee trees grow, carefully tended by producers who know each plant as part of their family. There, among mist-shrouded valleys and red soil, each berry is picked by hand – with respect for both nature and tradition.
Then the journey begins. Through gentle processing and meticulous handling, the coffee travels across borders and oceans, until it finally reaches our roastery in Gothenburg. Here, the beans are roasted in small batches, with time, precision and care – all to highlight the coffee’s unique character and taste.

Instead of going through many intermediaries, we build direct and long-term relationships with producers and cooperatives in East Africa. Every batch of coffee undergoes meticulous checks where we taste, analyze and get to know the unique character of the beans. When the coffee reaches our roastery in Gothenburg, the next part of the craft begins. Here we roast in small batches to give each bean the attention it deserves. We adjust the temperature and roast level according to origin, harvest and desired flavor profile – always with the goal of highlighting the coffee’s unique character, not hiding it.
For us, roasting is a balance between science and emotion. Every roast is a dialogue between man and raw material – a moment where passion meets precision. The result is a coffee with depth, identity and a history that can be experienced in every sip.
