Seeds of Tomorrow: Our 2025 Sustainability Report is OUT!

Choosing a brand because of what it stands for comes with a natural question. What does the work actually look like? What happens on the ground, in the farms, in the communities behind the coffee  and how does any of that connect to the cup sitting on your desk on a Tuesday morning in Sweden?

The 2025 Rutasoka Sustainability Report is our answer to that question.

Ours is a report built around what was actually measured. Agronomists and trained field enumerators visit farms in person, assessing coffee seedling survival rates, shade tree establishment, compost utilisation and the functionality of community infrastructure. Cooperatives report on farmer adoption and shared resources. Measurements are taken approximately one year after project implementation, with follow-ups that track what holds and what needs to change.

This is a paper trail, one that holds us accountable and gives us the data to make better decisions in 2026.

What 2025 built

The year’s theme was Seeds of Tomorrow. You plant a shade tree knowing it will take years to fully reshape the microclimate around the coffee beneath it. You invest in soil health knowing that the farmer who tends that land after you, will benefit more than you do.

In Murambi, Rwanda, 50,000 coffee seedlings were planted alongside 4,000 shade trees. A water pump now serves more than 500 families. Households near the Murambi washing station have electricity for the first time. Each outcome is documented in the report — verified, with the challenge it was responding to and the longer-term trajectory it is part of.

Impact is a process

It grows season by season, seed by seed, relationship by relationship.

Every cup of Rutasoka coffee carries healthy soil, skilled farmers and strong communities;measured, documented and published for anyone who wants the full picture.

The 2025 Sustainability Report is that picture.
