After leaving Congo, Rebu Burubwa began to build a new life in Sweden. The years that followed were marked by both challenges and opportunities – and eventually a strong desire to give back to the place he had once left grew.
The experiences from working in Congo also shaped the philosophy on which Rutasoka is based today: a belief in trade, long-term partnerships and mutual respect as a path to lasting change.

Rutasoka is expanding its work at origin in Minova, DRC. The initiative brings together nursery development, farmer training, and community engagement to support coffee-growing families while strengthening local capacity and creating opportunities that extend beyond the farm.
