Sustainability in the value chain
We work with certified farms that promote both the environment and society. For example, by using natural pesticides and sustainable agricultural methods, we support biodiversity and strengthen ecosystems.
We also promote agroforestry, where coffee is grown alongside shade trees and other crops. This method preserves forests, improves soil nutrients and prevents deforestation, helping to protect fragile ecosystems and sequester carbon dioxide.

Rutasoka offers 100% certified coffee, we have organic and Rainforest Alliance-labeled coffee in our range. These certifications ensure that production takes place with consideration for both the environment and the people who work in the chain.
Support for coffee producers
We work closely with coffee producers in East Africa to build strong, long-term relationships that ensure fair working conditions, sustainable farming practices, and economic development for our farmers and their communities.
By continuously distributing new coffee plants to producers in East Africa, their harvest increases. This in turn leads to increased income and economic stability for coffee producers and their families. As the plantations require more labor, from harvesting to processing, more jobs are created, strengthening the local economy.
Direct trade and fair conditions
We prioritize direct trade with coffee producers, which reduces middlemen and ensures that a greater portion of the profits go back to the growers. This helps improve the standard of living of local communities.
