Our Story

Grown in East Africa - Roasted in Sweden

Rutasoka is today a company that combines quality, sustainability and social responsibility. We work closely with small-scale farmers in East Africa and build relationships, both backwards and forwards in the value chain. These are relationships that are based on transparency and fairness. This creates a value chain where respect for people and nature go hand in hand.

From bean to cup

The coffee we work with grows in East Africa's fertile and varied landscapes, where soil, climate and tradition meet and shape each bean. When the coffee is roasted in Sweden, it is done with care and respect for the origin. Every cup becomes a reminder that sustainable development begins with fair conditions – and a chance to let coffee time make a difference.

Rutasoka coffee

We believe that every decision, even the small choice of coffee in your cup, can have a big impact. When you enjoy Rutasoka coffee, you get a cup that reflects both the passion and heritage of the region's coffee farming. It is coffee with soul, where each bean's journey from field to cup is a story of responsibility and commitment to a better future.

Growing together

Producers

We believe in change that grows slowly but sustainably. That's why we partner with growers who use natural methods and certified cultivation. Coffee is grown side by side with shade trees and other crops - in a way that strengthens the soil, protects the forest and binds carbon dioxide.

Partner

Today, we deliver coffee that combines quality, sustainability and taste to offices and businesses through partnerships with leading distributors such as Café Bar, Beans In Cup and Compass Group. We also develop tailor-made offers for the HoReCa segment with the ambition to transform every coffee break into an enjoyable moment that makes a difference.

Our sustainability model

Rutasoka's prize

Our premium allows more seedlings and trees to be planted, which results in both larger harvests and a more secure future for families. When more hands are needed for the harvest, jobs are also created that strengthen entire villages.

Rutasoka's direct trade

Through direct trade, the middlemen disappear, and a greater part of the value goes to the growers themselves. This way, people and communities can grow with us – cup by cup, year by year.
