Today we celebrate Africa Day and the theme for Africa Day 2023 is “Acceleration of AfCFTA implementation”. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is a trade agreement that aims to further the continent’s economic integration by establishing a unified marketplace for products and services.
The AfCFTA also prioritizes the development of infrastructure and the enhancement of regional value chains. It recognizes that the efficient movement of goods and services is crucial for the success of trade. Therefore, investments in transport networks, logistics, and digital connectivity are essential components of the initiative. Improved infrastructure not only facilitates trade but also promotes regional integration, strengthens social ties, and fosters cultural exchange.

By helping small-scale producers refine their products, constantly evaluating and improving the value chain ensures that the value chain is adapted to the market’s needs and requirements.
