Quality and care – A journey from harvesting to roasting:
Minova consists of 100% carefully selected Arabica beans, harvested from organic and fair trade plantations in the Congo. The name Minova is taken from a beautiful area in north-eastern Congo, where the wealth of nature can give extra height to the coffee experience.
Coffee cultivation at high altitude and careful processing:
The coffee is grown at high altitude in the North Kivu province, in the beautiful eastern parts of the Congo. The steep mountain slopes of Virunga National Park and the shimmering Lake Edward provide the optimal conditions for the coffee berries to ripen slowly until they are ready to be harvested.
Slow Roast method – Focus on flavor and aromas:
At the roastery in Sweden, Minova is given special care. Through our Slow Roast method, we gently roast the coffee, which enhances its aromas and flavor profile. The medium roast level gives the coffee its fresh and smooth character, with a rounded aftertaste embellished by the unique notes of hazelnut.
Minova Medium Roast Coffee – Durability and quality in every cup:
With Minova you not only get an outstanding coffee kick, but you also contribute to sustainability and the social well-being of the coffee producers in the DR Congo.
100% Arabica coffee from organic and fair plantations in the North Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Super fast and always available! Make a big batch of cold brew on our medium roast coffee, and you’ll have coffee all week.
Cold brewing coffee is amazing and as easy as it is good, smooth and without bitterness. Measure out 40 grams of coarsely ground coffee in a jar or pitcher with a lid. Pour over 800 ml of cold water and stir. Put the lid on and let the brew steep in the fridge for 18-24 hours. Strain the coffee through a sieve or coffee filter. If necessary, strain several times to remove the grounds (if the coffee is too finely ground, it may be difficult to remove all the grounds). Now the coffee is ready to be enjoyed just as it is.
Tip! It is also possible to use a pressure pot to cold brew coffee, for a slightly stronger cup take 80-120 grams of coffee for 800 ml of water. Leave overnight. Press – if you want the coffee hot, heat it in the microwave for 3 minutes on medium heat. Also try adding half a cinnamon stick and a clove to the brew and you’ll get a coffee on a whole new level.
With our circular business model, we strive to create a sustainable value chain that includes the social, economic and environmental perspective. At Rutasoka, we reinvest in sustainable agriculture in areas where our raw materials come from.

The coffee producers in eastern Congo have long suffered from war and conflict, which has led to neglected plantations and risk-taking, to smuggle the raw coffee to neighboring Uganda, on the other side of Lake Edwad. But now, with increased stability in the area, producers have finally gotten their revenge. Through passionate commitment and hard work, coffee from the Congo has once again become a recognized feature on the international market. Since our start in 2017, we have proudly been part of this development. Together with you, as a customer, we can continue to build up the standard of living of the coffee producers and contribute to their life?s work.
